Artwork by someone far more creative than I...

Artwork by someone far more creative than I...

Getting past it is nearly impossible now that I’ve lived with it so long.  I still haven’t quite figured out how I came to be this way, it just happened gradually.  It’s one of my Many Personal WeirdnessesTM.

That’s not to say that I lack creative ideas.  I have many, several times a day.  I’m sure I have them in my sleep, too, but after I wake I can’t recall them (figures).  One of my worst weirdnesses is drawing on request.  Want to see me stop being able to produce any art at all?  Ask me to draw something.  It’s the strangest thing, and I’m clueless why I’m like this.

So go ahead, here’s your chance to diagnose my creativity problems.  I dare ya.  LOL!!

Oh, and before I forget… pain management doc on Wednesday.  I guess I’m happy the headaches are cut down to about a third of what they were, though I was hoping for better.  Even so, a third is a third less, which I can live with.  Yeah.

Now thats downright kooky!

Now that's downright kooky!

Okay, yes, we are happy people. And with this factoid in mind, I bring you the Kooky Friends Pig Wrist Watch.   :)

This one is based on an ACEO I did sometime last year.  Yes, these are happy pigs, indeed.  Get one for yourself and your happy pig collector pals!

Pig Herd Rug by McAdoo Rugs

McAdoo Rugs in North Bennington, VT, makes hooked rugs in a colorful variety of designs, mostly primitive, but I love them in spite of that fact.  I’ve love needle arts and have been doing needlepoint and counted cross stitch for years.  I’d never use one of these McAdoo rugs as an actual rug, mind you, but as wall art I could go for a couple if my bank account was adequately swollen with cash.  Still, take a gander at these, let me know what you think.

Tonight I spent some time wandering the internet in search of painted pigs… and these are lovely.  PLEASE, for the love of your inner kook, spend some time with these visually stimulating swine.  Learn more about them here.

One can never get enough artsy-fartsy pig creations into their day, can one?

I found this site a long time ago, while doing a search on Google for pig art.  And this site is wonderful, the style is crisp, and the artist clearly likes pigs (a necessary prerequisite for me to post about a site, LOL!).  Anyway, do take time to check this site out, and enjoy!

I got there 10 minutes early, and the waiting room was filled with bubbles - soap bubbles.  Don’t know what they were made of, but they didn’t pop for at least 20 minutes after I arrived, and who knows how long they were there before I arrived.

The physical therapy area is a large room, poorly decorated by typical medical office standards, and the place was packed.  I went back to warm up using the “hand bike”, which is basically peddles mounted on a medal frame that you “pedal” with using your hands.  An older woman wearing a moomoo was at one of the tables, holding her arm on a heating pad and dozing off.

There were kids there, one woman brought her daughter and a friend, who were trying on party dresses and giving everyone there a fashion show.

Anyway, I finished up on the hand bike, and the dozing woman looked up at me and gave me a big toothless smile, and drifted back off to sleep.  Did my stretching exercises (I PAY these people for this?) and prepared for the torture to come.

The first torture?  The therapist took a large orange ball, put it behind my back while I was seated on a table, and proceeded to bend my entire upper body over it backwards.  Good grief.  I don’t know what it is with my therapist, this entire time she has done nothing but bend my body and twist my neck into entirely unnatural positions.  She did this numerous times.  Then the second torture began.

The therapist had me lay down on a massage table and proceeded to jam her fingers into my neck, which not only hurt but it made me yell (G-rated yelling is all they allow there).  About 15 minutes of this, and then I cried, and then I was electrocuted (electrical stimulation of neck muscles).

And this was my last therapy session… preceding ones were even worse!

Now the end result of all of this fun is that I still am getting headaches but they’re down to about 1/3 less frequent than they were prior.  I’ll be back to my pain management doctor on the 24th, and we’ll decide what else I have to do.  I continue to dislike the idea of getting trigger point injections.  Meanwhile, the pain meds have stopped working - I would need to double or triple my dose to get any effect, so I’ve stopped taking them entirely.

Meanwhile, I’m looking for web site design work, and have to start posting my kooky items here.   :)  And waiting for more thunderstorms, which lately here are a daily event.
